Sledding and snowboarding

Last days has been so much fun. We have been sledding, snowboarding, playing board games and doing sauna and eating well.

All fun stuff has it’s price and for me it’s that my body feels like I’ve been ran over by buss after relatively hard snowmobiling. Yesterday I drove my rental sled to Levi ski resort from Jerisj�rvi(60km), snowboarded 4 hours and drove back. I’m so exhausted, all my muscles are aching. But it’s all worth it.

I had my camera in my backpack, so I took some snapshots during the trip. Northern nature is so quiet and beautiful.

Ruka park shredding

Our winter holiday began with a day of snowboarding in one of the best parks in Finland. Ruka offered pretty damn fine jumps for us for the first day. Here is a screen shot of one of the videoclips about Mr. Liikala noseboning fs3 on the first kicker (16m). The snow was soft, temperature was mellow (-5c) and the weather was sunny all day. Sweet!!

So I got a call for judging a local rail contest(Volcom Peanut Butter & Rail Jam) and did some runs with my GoPro Camera. This one is shot with 2 sec interval, but I also attached it to the tail of my snowboard. Below more:

It’s been snowing all day long yesterday and today, so I decided to go snowboarding. And boy, it payed off. Fresh powder and very few people. I took this one with my Iphone. It’s my good buddy Isko on the right and my sister Maya on the left.

So after Costa Rica, we’re back to winter sports and this Saturday I went to Talma to shred some pipe and filmed some clips with the Go Pro HD camera. This is one of the still shot with 2sec interval.
